Raising money for Place2Be

Self Explanatory! Except for a few explanations.

DISCLAIMERS:

1. I am the type of person that puts a brand new thing away, then forgets about it. I am also the type of person who buys the wrong size off the internet, then never returns the items. So there will be many brand new things, some with labels on, many very well kept items.

2. There may be issues with selling some toys, as everybody knows that an 18m old, a 5 yrs old, a 6 yrs old, and a 7 yrs old can always change their mind without taking any responsibility for it. The toys chosen for sale have been (and still are) combed through, discussed and analysed with the children, and they really really want to raise money 'so children that are sad can become happier again at school because of the special charity 'teacher' that makes children happy' ( that is a mot-a-mot quote, and I'm satisfied with their grasping of the purpose of our work). Whatever toy is placed for sale, will be sold, and an adult will likely quietly muffle any disgruntled child's mouth (no chloroform, just threats), and drag them silently inside, so your little ones' shopping experience will be seamless! We need not worry about the little one, he's easily distractible and adorable.

3. We *may* have sweets or kids treats at the ready- for free. They will be out of sight, and we will ask you if it's OK to wink-wink share some of our lollies. We'll also provide tap water or tea/coffee , if home-made caffeine will do, rather than the Bread&Oregano excuisite coffees. We also like a chat and a little social situation, but we ( Tara and I) have got eachother, so we won't jump on you to satisfy our cheerful impulses.

4. The 4 boys working at the shop will be paid for their efforts. The paying criteria is really them understanding they're raising money and for what, them not skiving and fighting at the back, them eating their lunches including the vegs before chinese-dropping us with icecreams requests, and them being nice and polite to people. Obviously, it's swings and roundabouts and the children won't be exploited! ( apart from chloroform and bribes and threats at the back) - joking.

5. We will accept cash and card payments.

5. Absolutely all the money goes to Place2Be , a charity that supports in schools children's mental health.

The photos here will be updated as I work my ways through our hoarder's house. Tara has got her incredibly great quality baby stuff and also the jewelry she has been making, and needs to send me some photos when she gets a moment -she says.
