The rainy Jumble Sale

 Last Sunday the Jumble Trail happened! It was a rainy day, that kind of drizzly day that seems stuck in twilight zone, with periodically strong showers We started off well, even before the 11am advertised starting time, whilst we were still unloading the boxes and setting up the shop. A few ladies came immediately, rummaged through our stuff, and picked up some toys and clothes. Helped with our confidence! Then we have the passing traffic, with the kids yanking at the parents to start digging through the toys positionned strategically at the front . We had Tara being a natural at talking to people and having them pick up some stuff, and tried really hard to not have plastered over my face the thought of 'Please buy this sh*t, we gotta make money, pretty please think it's nice and buy some'. My plants did well, and thye're the only ones I felt  reluctant to let go - they're my babies, grown from seed! However, still about 50 tomatoes plants left, and I am trying to

  Artie-Leo-Maxi-Ernie Shop  Raising money for Place2Be Self Explanatory! Except for a few explanations. Any questions, please ask. DISCLAIMERS: 1.  I am the type of person that puts a brand new thing away, then forgets about it. I am also the type of person who buys the wrong size off the internet, then never returns the items. So there will be many brand new things, some with labels on, many very well kept items.  2. There may be issues with selling some toys, as everybody knows that an 18m old, a 5 yrs old, a 6 yrs old,  and a 7 yrs old can always change their mind without taking any responsibility for it. The toys chosen for sale have been (and still are) combed through, discussed and analysed with the children, and they really really want to raise money 'so children that are sad can become happier again at school because of the special charity 'teacher' that makes children happy' ( that is a mot-a-mot quote, and I'm satisfied with their grasping of the purpose
